Aron Feuer is a recognized expert in cybersecurity. In 1998, he founded Cygnos Information Security, a national consultancy acquired by a national accounting firm in 2012. Aron has extensive industry experience across all three levels of government, finance, technology, and health care. His project experience includes leading the IT Forensics investigation in the Robocall scandal, incident response to attacks by the hacker group Anonymous and the security certification of Canada’s classified networks. Aron is head of Algonquin College’s cybersecurity program advisory board. He is currently co-authoring Privacy Fundamentals for Canadian Practitioners with the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Managing Director, IT Strategy/Cloud
Sameer Malik provides advice on enterprise technology environments that are both increasingly complex and heterogeneous. In doing so, he helps clients meet their need for technology consistency and predictability. Whether wholesale cloud-based service migrations (Azure/Amazon/Google); increased application flexibility (SaaS solution adoption); increased productivity and collaboration (Azure/O365 migrations), or improved processes (ITIL Incident/Change Management), Sameer contributes to client demands for increased value - especially for organizations where technology budgets are fixed - by conducting IT Strategy, Risk and Maturity assessments. Sameer’s experience helps clients achieve not only immediate tactical wins but also successful, long-term technology strategies.

Michael Power is a recognized expert in privacy. He is the author of The Law of Privacy, published by Lexis Nexis as well as Halsbury’s Laws of Canada – Access to Information and Privacy (2005, 2011 and 2016 editions), published by Butterworth’s. Michael has over 15 years’ experience dealing with privacy-related questions. His past experience includes serving as a member of the federal Department of Justice, a partner at national law firm and as Vice-President, Privacy and Security at an Ontario Crown Agency.
Director, IT Advisory Sr. Technical Architect
Adam Crain has guided clients through numerous IT initiatives involving solution evaluation and selection and operational technology implementation. His skills in solution architecture and planning, combined with extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, network technologies, and systems integration, provides clients with value in helping them to better leverage technology, transform their operations and enhance business initiatives. His technical, collaboration and communication skills – gained in over than 16 years of experience - ensure complex issues resolve into understandable solutions. Mr. Crain’s array of clients ranges from government agencies, crown corporations and municipalities to many diverse privately-owned organizations in construction, real estate development, healthcare and professional services.
Jake Downs works in both the fields of privacy and security, providing clients with a holistic view of organizational risks. Combining a background as a lawyer – Jake was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2016 - and in providing IT support, Jake’s practice involves multi-faceted approaches to privacy and security program development, enterprise risk management, technical privacy and security assessments, and other compliance-based activities related to privacy and security. His experience includes advising clients across public, private and healthcare sectors. Jake completed his Master of Laws at the University of Ottawa in the areas of Intellectual Property and Privacy law. While completing his studies, he worked in the insurance industry, providing IT support to a mid-sized commercial-lines insurance brokerage.
